We were so blessed to have two wonderful culinary artists to visit the art classes. Carolynn, from Cutie Cakes, located at the Pendergrass Flea Market, and also OJ, from Spoonful of Heaven, came to all six classes to demonstrate how to make chocolate chip cookies. Carolynn baked 400 chocolate chip cookies the night before, but brought in more ingredients to explain to the students the measurements, weight, ingredients, temperatures, etc. on preparing the dough. They practiced their math, science, AND art. She then helped them each make a chocolate chip ice cream sandwich. The time and ingredients were completely donated, so please support these businesses. Cutie Cakes offers a full breakfast and lunch menu as well as cakes, etc. She is a trained chef!
