The 8th graders studied Frida Kahlo and her very interesting life. She is a phenomenal artist from Mexico, focusing mainly on self-portraits that depict much about her life, which included being married to Diego Rivera (a famous muralist) and also included being in a tragic bus wreck. The students studied the specific facial proportions and combined that with their shading techniques.
