Printmaking into Collage Books

The 8th graders looked at Durer's prints and paintings. They then created their own linoleum prints, made 10+ prints (some painted on them, changed up the color, printed them on old books, etc.). After signing these (name, title, and number), they traded with friends. They each had a stack of 10+ prints to put in their books. We studied bookmaking, collage, etc. They had to cut out two pieces of 5x5" cardboard, 5 sheets of 5x10 construction paper (folded in half, hole punched, yarn woven through). They then used a glue stick to put the prints in their books. They truly treasure these. We had few left behind in the art room!
