Streeeeetched Magazine Pictures

Seventh graders are now working on their rhythm and repetition art project. They will take a magazine image, draw the exact replica of it, cut strips of one and then the other, and glue them alternating on a larger sheet of paper. Stay tuned for the final results. Below are the "in progress" sketches. They are really working on blending the colored pencils and shading/highlighting as needed. I gave them the example of not coloring in a red apple red, but looking at the highlights and shadows, the reflections and the imperfections. They are really looking closely to conquer this task.
