In typical art teacher style, we are working on contour drawings in 8th grade. The students have carefully looked and slowly taken their time to draw these. We started off drawing thumbs with our good drawing hands as well as our opposite drawing hands. We even drew with our feet to loosen up and also to appreciate the foot/mouth artists. Students could draw their own shoe or a friend's shoe... The results were phenomenal. They had to draw with a sharpie so that they couldn't erase.
