8th Grade Skull Drawings
In 8th grade, we learn an entire unit on portrait drawing, including proportions, perspective, shading, etc. I leave the proportions of the body to the high school teacher, but try to send them off knowing bits and pieces of the skull and face. We start the lesson off with facial proportions and then study the human skull so that they know how and where to shade later when they do start drawing the human portrait. Below are examples of their skull drawings.
