Giant Food
Our 8th graders generaly study Claes Oldenburg, a fantastic sculpture who uses mixed-media to develop fascinating giant food. After studying about Claes, the students sketch out their own ideas. We try to use recycled or recyclable objects, such as house paints, newpaper, cardboard, and the like. They are encouraged to find items and/or bring them from home. The students amaze me year after year. I love seeing these people create.
