This was the first year that I have had my students to create an actual sketchbook. Now, I wish that I had made them thicker! We only included 15 pages, but the covers are WONDERFUL. It is a great way to get to know the students' likes, interests, and skill level. They took a 12x18 piece of construction paper, folded in it half "hamburger style", and added 15 sheets inside. We stapled them three times and then decorated the front and back covers. Below are some of the covers. This was a great idea to allow them to jump right into creating. We also looked at some of Teesha Moore's journals for ideas.
