Eighth graders have started their linoleum printmaking project. Last year, we had battleship linoleum, which was a true battle to deal with (very hard to cut). This year, we purchased soft cut linoleum. It is much easier and I'm seeing fewer "injuries"! The students have been given specific safety instructions for using the gouge tools. They are very excited to be able to create their own print plate. Tomorrow, we will start the inking demonstration. Please feel free to watch the video below to see how that will work!
