Our amazing student teacher, Brooke Davidson, who has a degree in textile design, has been working with the 8th graders on redesigning some old wallpaper (old being from the 1980's, when I was growing up!). You really should look at her website. The image above is from her... she painted this and then added the top right designs with the computer. She's a "true professional"! It is like having a visiting artist. She has been talking to students about this profession and about what she does. At this point, they have cut out wallpaper squares and are changing it into something else. She is going to take them through a process to get the final product. She's not telling them the whole picture just yet. :) More to come!
